Runescape Autoing

Autos, also known as macros or bots, are used in Runescape to obtain higher levels or more gold, without playing yourself. Why would someone use an auto? To gain the best items and the highest levels in Runescape it would take someone countless hours of playing nonstop. This can get very boring so a lot of players result to autoing to do it for them. Autoing is against the Runescape rules so by autoing you are risking getting a temporary or permanent banishment from the game. This is why most autos have anti-ban; anti-ban decreases the chance of getting banned to make autoing safer for your valued accounts.

Other people have found autoing is a great source of income. They do this by either making autos or by selling accounts that they have gotten to higher levels by autoing. The process to making autos is very complicated and involves a good knowledge of java. Selling accounts, a much simpler method and easier to learn, is done by making level 3 accounts and finishing tutorial island on them. You then place the account at a spot to train at level 3 and turn on the auto and leave while the auto is playing for you. You then come back to your computer later, and if he/her has gained enough levels, you could place him at a training spot with higher level monsters to fight. Once your character has gained a few good stats, you could go to a website and sell the character for real money.

In the past year, Jagex came out with the 3,000gp limit to stop autoers from autoing on a level 3 account, gaining him/her millions, and then trading all of it to their mains. This would make it so their mains couldn’t get banned yet they still obtained lots of gp without playing. With this they also took away the wilderness to prevent people from killing their bots in the wilderness while their bots are holding all of the autoed gold. When Jagex did this they lost many Runescape players, autoers, and real world item trader (people who sold game gold for real money).

After reading all of that you’re probably thinking to yourself, wow I’m going to go search for autos now, but be careful. Many people have decided to place Trojans, key loggers, and viruses in the autos they are giving you. Make sure the site is trusted and scan all downloads with a virus detector before you download them. I recently downloaded an un trusted auto because it sounded cool, but it turned out containing a key logger. Within days all of my accounts were stolen, but it turned out to be ok because I used my recovery questions to get them back. Happy autoing and remember only download from trusted sites.
